Blue Star Mothers of Iowa are mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster mothers and female legal guardians who have children serving in the military, guard, reserves or veterans. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
Care Package Project
Care Package Project
The main focus of our year is the annual holiday care package drive. Since 2017, more than 2000 boxes have been sent to deployed servicemen and women around the world.
Hot Rod for Heros
Hot Rod for Heros
Our annual "Hot Rods for Heroes" car show is on Saturday, Sept. 19 at DMACC in Ankeny (Lot L - 2006 S Ankeny Blvd.) All proceeds benefit the Blue Star Mothers of Iowa and their annual project to send care packages to Iowa troops serving overseas.
